We had a great response to Friday night's New Year's Quiz (with 51 people attending)  and  congratulations to the winning team who succeeded against fierce opposition.  Pictured left to right: Peter and Gaynor Thomas, Frank Harries, Amanda and Bob Schopp with Quiz Master Rose Blackburn.  Thanks to all who contributed to the buffet which was well appreciated and to all who donated raffle prizes.

Public Meeting to unveil the maquette of William Marshal

New Years Get together at Monkton Church Hall

We began  2019 with a New Year's Get together in Monkton Church Hall.  It was good to meet up again for a chat over coffee and cakes after Christmas and New Year celebrations - which seem to go on forever!  Chairman Linda Asman gave an update on the projects the Society has been engaged on with great things to come -  the Society will be launching a fundraising appeal for a statue to the great William Marshal at a public meeting on February 2nd in Pembroke Town Hall. George Palmer then took over with a trip down memory lane with his old fashioned slide show - lots of anecdotes, lots of memories with many joining in.
